Joyful

I thought I would go over a couple of the cards I made for the stack, now that the dust has settled.

In the first card, I used the following products:

     Stamps- Joyful Christmas
                   Wonderful Wreath
                    (both Stampin'Up!)
                   Build A Wreath (Spellbinders)
     Dies - Labels Collection (SU)
Embossing Folders - Anna Griffin for Sizzix
Card Stock - Whisper white (SU)
                           Green metallic (DeNami)
                            Red foil (Recollections)
Embossing Powder - Wild Wasabi (SU)
     Stickles - red
     Big shot, heat gun

To make the frame for the wreath, I taped two of the 'Labels' dies to the surface of the platform evenly spaced one inside the other, laid the white card stock on top, and cut the frame. Leaving it all in place, I ran everything through the machine again with the crease pad to create the embossed look.

On the inside, I used the narrow EF that comes in the Anna Griffin set to make the border and layered it on more of the green metallic paper.

On the next 'Joy-filled' card, I began with a white card base and covered the front with Pacific Point (SU) c/s.

Then I die cut the border and center decal from silver foil c/s (Recollections) using two Frostyville dies from Memory Box, Winter Jo and Frostyville Border. They were a little more challenging to cut due to the delicate nature of the design and I made sure to use waxed paper between the die and the c/s. I also ran each one through and back, then rotated everything 90 degrees and ran it through and back a second time.

On the inside, I added a band of the blue c/s and glued on some of the bits left from the two die cuts. I finished with a sentiment in Pacific Blue ink (SU). Inside, I also attached the letters that remained after cutting the front decal.

Thanks for visiting.
